plan for success
At Hillman Partners we don’t just hope for success, we plan for it. We
start each search with a straightforward plan and execute at each turn. Here’s
how we start and what a new client can expect.
1. Homework. We do our homework before hand to determine how the
market perceives the company in terms of team, hiring practices,
strengths and weaknesses. We share our findings. We understand the
base line requirements of the job. Understand our client’s
idea of what a strong candidate would be . . . core competencies,
personality and specific characteristics.
2. We understand our client’s “Now” and the “Future.” Where
are they in the market and where are they winning & losing? Then
where they are headed with product development, partnerships, strategic
alliances, etc. Ultimately, why would someone want to join their
team?
3. Reality check. Is the client’s story a collection of best
intentions or does it jive with market perceptions? By relying on
a straightforward, constructive style, we’ve helped many clients
realize that what they want and what they need may be completely
different. We tell it like it is, and our client’s appreciate
that.
4. Recruit. We start each search by drawing from our immense database
of candidates scouring our internal and external databases while
contacting referral sources to deliver a our clients story to qualified
candidates with precision. In addition, we “offsheet” reference
each candidate to make sure that there are no surprises that surface.
5. Present a list of most likely candidates and discuss strengths
and weaknesses. Set up interviews and immediately seek feedback from
both candidate and client, keeping the search moving and from becoming
stale.
6. Close the candidate assisting our client during the crucial offer
and negotiation phase. Making sure that our client has the information
they need to make the deal happen. |
